
Interested in the health care field? Learn about the many opportunities in this growing field at the Southwestern Illinois College Health Care Careers Open House.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 7 in the SWIC Belleville Campus Main Complex Second Floor Lobby, 2500 Carlyle Ave. Visitors can park in Parking
Lot M3 or M4 and use Entrance G.
The event is free and open to the public. Breakfast refreshments will be served and there will be drawings to win door prizes.
During the open house, individuals can tour state-of-the-art medical labs, explore the health care job market, discuss career goals and interests with a counselor, meet with Allied Health faculty members and complete an Allied Health program application.
Some of the SWIC Allied Health programs include Health Information Technology, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing Education, Paramedic/EMT, Physical Therapy Assistant, Phlebotomy, Radiologic Technology and more.
“This open house is a great opportunity for prospective students to meet with program instructors, current students, counselors and faculty members from many of the SWIC support programs,” said Dean of Allied Health and Public Services Julie Muertz.
