To be considered for financial aid, a student must be in an eligible program. All associate degrees are eligible. Not all certificates are eligible. Check certificate eligibility.
Learn how to apply for the privately funded scholarships available only to SWIC students through the SWIC Foundation.
Apply for federal and state financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The school code for SWIC is 001636. You can pick up a hard copy at the SWIC Financial Aid and Student Employment Office or from a high school guidance counselors. For the fastest response, complete the FAFSA online.
Assistance with FAFSA is available at SWIC through PALS.
Students who have been offered a Federal Stafford loan, and are first-time borrowers at SWIC, must complete the online Loan Entrance Counseling before the loans can be processed. To select a lender, and complete the Master Promissory Note (MPN) for that lender, go to choose your lender and click Apply Now. Finally, log in to eSTORM, go to your Student Center and indicate that you want to accept or reduce your loan, and indicate the lender that you selected.
Students may also borrow through the Alternative Loan Program.
Students can complete Loan Exit Counseling online.
