The Aviation Maintenance Technology program offers the opportunity to obtain the FAA airframe and/or power plant certificate in one year and an Associate in Applied Science degree after an additional semester of classes. The FAA approved certificate allows students to take the FAA written, oral and practical tests in the general, airframe and power plant courses. Upon successful completion of the tests, the FAA will issue an airframe and/or power plant license.
This program offers a one-year or two-year format. The one year format allows one to obtain the A&P Certificate in 50 weeks at eight hours a day. The two-year format allows one to complete the A&P Certificate or Associate in Applied Science degree in two years at four hours a day.
