The Counseling Center is the first stop people make to gather information about enrolling, taking the COMPASS skills assessment, learning how to plan a schedule and register for classes.

Transfer Assistance

Counselors can assist with your choice of courses to ensure a smooth and easy transfer to a four-year college or university.

Career Program Assistance

Counselors will work with you in choosing the appropriate courses for your particular career program to earn an associate in applied science degree or certificate.

Help for Study Skills

Need ideas and strategies to sharpen your study skills? Counselors can show you many techniques and help you sort out what will work best to meet your educational goals. Individual counseling sessions, as well as group workshops are available.

Referrals

Counselors are your source for referral to other SWIC student support services.

Tutoring Information

Free tutoring is offered by students and adjunct faculty for most SWIC courses. For details, contact the Success Centers.
