Individual Career Consultation

The Career Activities & Employment Center professional staff are available on all campuses by appointment to assist you in one-to-one sessions. Individual appointments are made for various purposes including choosing a major, developing specific job search strategies, conducting practice interviews or obtaining career mentors. If you have a specific question you would like answered quickly, you may e-mail the Career Center with your question. We will respond as soon as possible.

Career Assessments: Discover, Kuder and Career Cruising

These are interactive career guidance systems which will assess your interests, abilities, experience and work-related values and match these results to an extensive database of information on 458 occupations. Please call for an appointment.

Workshops/Seminars

View the list of career-related workshops the Career Center offers then contact the Career Center for the current schedule. Workshops/Seminars are also offered in classes at the request of the program areas.

Industry Speakers

Industry speakers from the Career Mentor Alumni Plus program offer workshops on a variety of topics, including SWIC program areas.

Scholarship Search

A scholarship search package is available in the Career Center which offers information on local scholarships as well as state and national scholarships. Information provided helps you calculate your expected contribution for college costs, find information on college costs and financial aid, calculate loan payments and discover resources for further exploration of financial aid.

Career Resource Library

The Career Center has an extensive collection of information on local employers and occupations, as well as a variety of college catalogs.

Career Mentors (Career MAP)

The Career Mentoring Alumni Program is an extensive database of alumni and friends of the college who serve as career mentors to students, prospective students and job seekers. Mentoring services include informational interviews, job shadowing, career day participation and networking.

Career Exploration/Career Technology Days

Career Exploration and Career Technology Days are held throughout the year for junior high and high school students in coordination with the Regional Vocational Systems. Call for more information.
